      United Airlines Travel Classes

      United Airlines offers 3 travel classes:

      1. Economy Class: This class includes two options – Economy Plus and Basic Economy Class.
      1. Basic Economy Class: This fare option is a budget travel choice that permits passengers to bring one personal item or a small bag. Seat selection before departure is not available. Refunds and cancellations of tickets on select flights incur charges.
      2. Economy Plus: Passengers are allowed to bring one carry-on bag and one checked bag. It also provides extra legroom, and the assigned seats are closer to the aircraft exits.
      3. Business Class: Passengers are permitted to bring one carry-on bag and two checked bags. With access to the Business Class lounge at the airport, priority boarding, and check-in, passengers can also relax on board with comfortable and adjustable seats. The seats include a built-in power supply for laptops, and passengers can also work and relax. Complimentary inflight beverages such as water, soft drinks, juice, tea, etc., are also available along with delicious meals.
      4. First Class: Passengers are allowed to bring one carry-on bag and two checked bags. With access to the Business Class lounge at the airport, priority boarding and check-in, passengers can also relax on board with comfortable and adjustable seats.       Frequent Flyer Program

      MileagePlus is United Airlines’ frequent flyer program. Members can earn mileage points by flying with the airline. These points can be redeemed for award tickets, upgrades, and value-added services. Mileage points can also be earned with the airline’s partners in hotels, banks, telecommunications, car rentals, and travel agencies. The points can also be used to gift flight tickets to loved ones. There are two levels of membership – MileagePlus and MileagePlusX.

      Baggage Allowance

      Passengers can check in luggage weighing up to 23 kg for Economy Plus and 32 kg for Business Class and First Class. Extra baggage allowance can be obtained for additional charges. Passengers can find information about excess baggage allowance and additional charges here.

      Check-in

      For domestic flights, passengers can check in online 24 hours to 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. For international flights, passengers can check in online 24 hours to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.
